Ro Madrid –Biography

Ro Madrid is a DJ and producer with 28 years of experience in electronic music. He started in Mexico City, where in 1997 he created Unión Fest, the first electronic music festival in the country. There he presented his project Hangar Tone and shared the stage with artists like Richie Hawtin.

In his early years, he played at classic CDMX venues like El Colmillo, Club 69, Rioma, Caféína, and Hotel W, becoming part of the underground house scene. After a decade in the capital, he moved to Playa del Carmen to become a resident DJ at Mamitas Beach Club, where he spent more than 12 years creating events, official compilations, and working with international DJs such as HOSH, Christian Burkhardt, and many others.

He later became a resident of the BPM Festival and was the only Mexican DJ in the lineup for the 5th anniversary. He was also invited to play at Chivas Studio events in Madrid, Barcelona, and Ibiza, sharing the stage with Stéphane Pompougnac.

Ro Madrid also took part in Sony Music’s “Born in Mexico” project. After a creative break, he returns with a fresh vision: playing deep, organic, and atmospheric music that makes people dance, connect, and enjoy the moment.

At the end of 2025 and throughout 2026, Ro Madrid marks his return to the decks with a new residency at Papaya Playa in Tulum, bringing his signature sound back to one of the most iconic beach clubs in the Riviera Maya.
